Continuing Students Scholarship Application

Following are the guidelines for continuing students interested in scholarship consideration.

Current students interested in applying for or renewing a scholarship must apply to the Recruitment, Admissions, and Scholarship Committee every semester.

Applications for the spring semester are due in mid-October. Applications for the fall semester are due in mid-March. Exact deadlines are posted on the RAS bulletin board at the beginning of each semester.

Applicants must fill out a RAS Current Student Application Form (pdf) and submit a letter detailing personal and professional goals. The letter should describe how your work at ISU is helping you reach your goals and why the School of Theatre should invest in your future.

All scholarship students are expected to maintain a "high profile" and to act as role models for other School of Theatre students. The Recruitment, Admissions, and Scholarship Committee takes three things into account in making scholarship decisions:

  1. Excellence in academic achievement.
  2. Successful participation in the production program.
  3. Dedication to serving the School of Theatre, the University, and the community.

The RAS Committee is unable to take financial need into consideration when making scholarship decisions.

Students interested in applying for School of Theatre scholarships should read carefully the School of Theatre Scholarship Policies (pdf) .
