Music Business/Arts Technology
A classically-trained musician, Rose spent two decades performing original punk rock music throughout the US and Europe with her bands Poster Children and Salaryman. She has released 13 albums and one DVD on various independent (Subpop, Twin/Tone, Frontier, City Slang) and major record labels (Sire / Reprise). She is known as a pioneer in facilitating audience participation via technology. Her work has been featured in WIRED, MTV, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, CNN, FoxTV. She holds an MFA in New Media and BS degrees in Math and Computer Science from UIUC. Rose is currently interested in ubiquitous and participatory computing, transaction art, and big games.
