The National Art Education Association Illinois State University Student Chapter is a Registered Student Chapter at Illinois State University. It is a strong pre-professional organization with members dedicated to Art Education. We seek to create professional, local, and national connections that help art become a dominant subject in modern education.

Awards and Recognition

Our organization has been recognized by the National Art Education Association as the Outstanding Student Chapter in both 2001-2002 and 2002-2003. We are extremely proud to receive such recognition on the national level.

Many Illinois State University students have won awards over the past few years or had their artwork featured in a number of art shows. Our Advisor, Dr. Linda Willis Fisher, recieved the 2005 Student Chapter Sponsor Award of Excellence by the National Art Education Association at the 2005 convention and was appointed National Art Education Association Student Chapter Advisor in July 2005 for a two year appointment.
