Bachelor of Music Business

Today, many individuals are seeking a profession that combines the worlds of music and corporate America. At Illinois State University, we are proud to offer the Bachelor of Science in Music Business degree.

The sequence is intended for those who wish to pursue a career in business professions related to music. In addition to the core music requirements, students need to complete 25 hours of coursework in the School of Music and the nationally-recognized College of Business. This degree enables the student to develop their musical skills while connecting them with leaders in the music industry. Recent graduates are employed by major instrument manufacturers, record labels, and concert halls.

The Bachelor of Science degree in music provides an alternative to the professional degree—the Bachelor of Music. The General Education requirement is similar to that specified for all other liberal arts programs.
