Music Composition
The Master's degree in Composition is a good program for students interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in composition and would like to build their portfolio, or for students who are interested in pursuing teaching as a career.

Entrance Requirements
- See the audition and application requirements for graduate students.
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum undergraduate cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.6 for the last 60 hours at the undergrad level
- Submission of placement credential file or three professional letters of recommendation
- Present a live performance audition (taped auditions may be submitted for provisional admission)
- A placement examination in theory and music history/literature must be taken before the first semester of enrollment
