Summer Programs

The School of Music at Illinois State provides a number of opportunities throughout the summer for musicians of all levels to improve their musicianship and educational training.

  • Junior High School Band Camp

  • The Band Area of the ISU School of Music will once again present the Junior High Summer Band Camp. The Illinois State University Junior High Summer Band Camp (July 13-19) provides students from 6th-9th grade with an opportunity to develop their musical skills in a college setting.  Activities include concert and jazz bands, music theory, instrument master classes, music sectionals, concerts, and an array of recreational activities.  Illinois State faculty, staff, and students serve as instructors for the camp and are on duty 24 hours a day for the duration of the camp.  Come join in the fun!  For more information, contact Connie Bryant, go to the Events page of the ISU Bands web site, or call (309) 438-2166.
