Community School for the Arts

Community music lessons is a service which has a long history in the School of Music

Illinois State Community School for the Arts offers lessons on all band and orchestra instruments as well as classical voice, piano and guitar lessons to students from kindergarten through senior citizens. The Registration Brochure for Summer, 2008 through Spring, 2009 (pdf) is now available.

The Community School for the Arts is proud to announce the NEW Singing Redbirds children’s choir. This program is open to children ages 9 – 12 (grades 3 – 6). Choir rehearsal begins September 11th and will meet weekly on Thursday evenings from 6:00 – 7:15 p.m. in Cook Hall. The Choir will perform in at least two concerts this fall including the wildly popular, ISU Music for the Holidays Concert hosted in the Center for Performing Arts Concert Hall on-campus.
