University Galleries is one of the most active public exhibition spaces in downstate Illinois representing a wide yet critical survey of contemporary art. As we serve a primary audience situated 140 miles from Chicago, Indianapolis, and St. Louis, our mission is to integrate an awareness of contemporary art into the cultural landscape of our rapidly growing community.Our exhibitions feature both emerging and mid-career artists.
