“The Lost Art of Photography”

by Chris Kubik

Has photography become a lost art? How long has photography been around for?
Photography was born at a time when ascendant styles of Western art, naturalism and realism, were expected to reproduce what the artist saw before them. Throughout history the terms lens caps, film, and darkrooms are all common words heard in photography. But now the phrases are digital, computer, and software in the world today. Technology has reached a point where photography is becoming all digital. Now digital cameras have become the wave of the future and replacing film photography.

Photography has been around for one -hundred years and continues to be useful in the art world. At first, photography is about its modest artistic standing. Some people say that it is simply an aid for artist, particularly the portraitist. A number of artist accepted the help. They used it because it was less time-consuming because it eliminated stand-in models. In art photography was useful for documenting their work and for studying masterpieces without traveling all over to see them.
