Sculpture Program in Studio Arts
The Sculpture Program fosters a spirit of experimentation and strong working methods in both technical skills and critical thinking.
Course work promotes an understanding of the all-inclusive nature of Sculpture at this point in history including discussions of current issues in the arts and its influence on personal development.
Students are encouraged to engage issues of space, theoretical inquiry, and the manufacture of objects through technical process as well as thoughtful, critical dialogue.
Through assigned projects with in-class work/discussions culminating in deadlines and final critiques, this critical dialogue unfolds and develops throughout the student's tenure.
